Meetings
The NSFA Business Meeting is held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month and our Social "potluck" gathering is on the 4th Wednesday of each month. Both meetings are held at 7:00 pm at the Kraft Athletic Club on Amelia Island. Occasionally, the meetings are rescheduled due to tournaments and holidays; check our calendar for dates and times. Shrimp Festival 2012
Volunteers Needed
It's that time of year--time to gear up for our food booth at the Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival!
This is our biggest fundraiser and it takes MANY volunteers to make it happen. Positions are:
Food Prep: load fryer baskets with fish, fries, shrimp and hushpuppies.
Fryers: Fry the food that has been prepped in our deep fryers.
Servers: Call out food and beverage order to the Swim/Dive Team members who are assembling the food; gives food/drinks to customer; takes $$ from customer and makes change. Smiles a lot!
Load trailer, set-up booth, take down booth and unload trailer are other volunteer opportunities and self explanatory.
Volunteers are needed for the following dates and times:
- Monday, April 30, 9:00 am-Load Trailers at First Coast Storage by the airport
- Thursday, May 3, 5:00 pm-Set up at the Festival at the Waterfront
- Friday, May 4, Work the Food Booth- 2 shifts: 3:00-7:00 pm and 7:00 pm to closing
- Saturday, May 5, Work the Food Booth- 3 shifts: 8:00 am-noon, noon to 4:00pm and 4:00 pm to closing
- Sunday, May 6, Work the Food Booth- shifts: 9:00 am -1:00 pm and 1:00 pm to closing and Tear Down Booth beginning at approximately 4:00 pm.
- Monday, May 7, Put Away Crew- 10:00 am at First Coast Storage
